Managing Director and ‘Rad Yard’ founder, Alex, is a Greek business strategist with leading roles in various corporate restructurings, highly publicized M&A deals, and stock exchange listings. He often spearheads transitional processes and twice served as the interim head of large organizations going through a change of control. An Anatolia High School graduate, he dropped out of university twice, in architecture (Oxford Brookes) and physics (AUTh), to become a stockbroker and then a freelance business consultant.
Under the trade name ‘RNBW’ and ‘ODD’, he has served numerous clients across various fields, including the primary sector, commodity trading, manufacture, shipping, retail, real estate, construction, tourism, wealth management, fashion, education, and art. His work initially involved dynamic modeling and forecasting, and later on transformed into strategic planning, transformational change and product development. His ideas grew into an expertise in developing transformational schemes and integrating cross-functional, matrix-management corporate structures.
Outside of business, he is a natural sailor, former sailing champion and coach, and often dreams of circumnavigating solo or becoming a shipwright. As the father of a nine-year-old son, he has settled to family cruising in the Aegean while being an undergraduate student of the Westlawn School of Yacht Design. Alex also runs a local boat-building workshop and offers performance clinics for young sailors.
